Into the Garden Inc. is a Ladysmith-based, owner-operated garden care and landscaping company serving the Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo and Nanoose Bay. Our garden maintenance, pruning, planting and garden renewal are guided by plant knowledge, proper seasonal timing and 17+ years of professional landscaping experience from a Canadian Red Seal Endorsed Landscape Horticulturist.
We care for gardens with attention to plant health, structure, seasonal timing, soil conditions and overall appearance, with each visit guided by what the garden needs to grow well and look its best.

Seasonal garden care guided by plant growth, bloom cycles and changing garden conditions, with work timed to support healthy growth, good structure and a garden that looks cared for throughout the season.
Mulching & Soil Care
Mulch applied at the appropriate depth and timing to support soil health, moisture retention, root-zone protection and healthy growing conditions. We work carefully around established perennials and shrubs so beds have a clean, finished appearance while supporting the plants and soil beneath the surface.
Garden Bed Restoration & Renewal
Established garden beds change as plants mature. We restore spacing and structure, improve growing room, light and air movement, and work with the existing plants to bring the bed back into balance while supporting long-term plant health.
Pruning, Hedges & Shrub Care
Horticulturally informed pruning based on plant type, growth habit, bloom timing and structure. Services include selective pruning, hedge care, separation and canopy raising where appropriate, with attention to natural form, flowering and long-term plant health.
